The 2022 edition of the Rio Grande Celtic 7s Tournament is in the books! In the tournament's first year since 2018 we had a total of 15 teams participate! Congratulations to the ABQ Aardvarks and the Atomic Sisters winners of the men's and women's 2022 Rio Grande Celtic 7s Rugby tournament championship brackets! A huge thank you to all the teams that came out, including multiple UNM and NMSU old boys, our Rio Grande Rugby Union brothers the Santa Fe Santos and El Paso Scorpions (nice unis fellas!), and the El Paso Lady Scorpions and the Phoenix women's rugby team! Additional thanks to our tournament sponsors and all the volunteers, family and friends that helped make this year's tournament a success! As usual we couldn't have done it without our partners at the Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival. Here's to an even bigger and better tournament and festival next year! Que Viva!
RUGBY RUMMAGE SALE, YOUTH FUNDRAISER
AYRU is holding their annual rugby rummage sale this Saturday, June 11th at the Southwest Secondary Learning Center located at 10301 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 Items are coming from many households in the youth rugby community (including supportive businesses), They will be posting larger items that come our way early so check their Facebook page! The best items will be there at 8am sharp. Come support the 4 youth teams as they represent our state in this international tournament. The year's group is the largest yet!
