On a sunny and clear but cool winter day the New Mexico Brujos kicked off their 2022 Rio Grande rugby Union spring season (for real this time) in fine fashion last Saturday, using an explosive second half to outpace the the visiting Scottsdale Blues for a 39 - 17 victory. The Brujos got on the board first and after two red cards for the visiting Blues in the first half led at halftime 17-10. Join the New Mexico Brujos this Saturday, February 12th as they kick off their 2022 Spring Rio Grande Rugby Union season (for real this time) with a home game against the visiting Scottsdale Blues! The game is scheduled for 2 PM at Phil Chacon field south. This Saturday, February 5th, the Rio Grande chapter of the Southwest Rugby Referee Society and our friends at Albuquerque Youth Rugby United will be hosting the 2022 Referee Training Course. The course will take place from 8;30 to around 3 at Jerry Cline Park at 7001 Constitution Ave NE, Albuquerque NM 87110. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes.
