That's a wrap! The New Mexico Brujos wrapped up their 2024/25 SWRU season last Saturday in high fashion, beating the host Santa Fe Santos 46 to 12 in Rio Rancho. Leading 19 to 12 at half the team used an inspiring halftime speech by Coach Dustin and kept the host Santos out of the try zone for the rest of the game while pouring on 27 straight points of their own for the runaway win.
The victory left the NM Brujos undefeated during the Spring portion of the season (and undefeated in their sharp new kits) and took them to 4 and 2 over all in the season. Despite avenging both their two Fall loses in a big way this Spring, the Brujos appear to fall one game short of the playoffs this season, because the SWRU is only taking one team from the Brujos region this year. As disappointing as missing the playoffs this year because of the new format may be, the play of the Brujos this Spring has left the team and its fans in high spirits, absolutely champing at the bit to see the boys in blue hit the pitch again as soon as possible. Many exiting possibilities loom for the Brujos during the upcoming offseason including upcoming tournaments and friendlies, but for now the New Mexico Brujos are going to take a few days to reflect on a job well done.

Save the date! The NM Brujos are teeing it up again this Fall.
Once again trading their rugby cleats for golf spikes the New Mexico Brujos golf fundraiser is returning in September.
The location of this can't miss annual event is still to be determined but the date is set, Friday, September 26th.
As usual the tournament is best ball with shotgun starts. There will be prizes for longest drive, worst shot, closest to pin as well as gift bags and other assorted shenanigans.
