Beaches Sand and Sports Bar donates money from beer sales to local rugby
Our friends at Beaches Sand and Sports Bar, home of the Sandia Sandstorm tournament, have figured out a novel way to help local rugby using the New Mexico Brujos favorite beverage, beer!
Beaches is donating $1 from every pint of Sierra Blanca Rio Grande Lager that they sell to the NM Brujos.
What an easy-not to mention fun-way to help out Albuquerque's premier rugby team. So head over to Beaches for some vollyball, trivia night or any of the other many fun things they do there, grab a lager, and help local rugby. Sounds like a win/win to us! Que Viva.
Brujos Fall Schedule Gets an Update
The New Mexico Brujos are making a detour on their fall schedule.
Instead of traveling to Flagstaff this weekend as planned, the Brujos will instead stay closer to home, get in some training and particpate in the High Desert Classic on Oct. 24.
After that the NM Brujos will see the pitch again for the Atomic 10's on Nov. 10.
The Brujos will also be throwing a Blue and White scrimage sometime in either October or November and participating in Turkey Touch in late November.
It should be a busy fall for the boys in blue as they prepare to defend last year's SW Rugby title this spring.
Que Viva!
