NM Brujos to Return to Play Against Santa Fe this Saturday! Blue Magic Coffee Now Available!
The long Rugby-less nightmare is nearly over! After over a year (455 days in fact) since their last match, the New Mexico Brujos will once again take the field against their rivals from up north the Santa Fe Santos. This Saturday, June 5th, the NM Brujos will travel to Santa Fe to take on the Santos at noon. Match location is 205 Caja del Rio Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87507. It's unclear at this time whether or not this match counts towards Rio Grande Rugby Union standings, but it's doubtful you'd find anyone too concerned with the fine print at this point. A match is match and Brujos rugby is back! Que Viva!
Before the New Mexico Brujos return to the pitch for the first time in over a year it's more important than ever to get out to practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7 at Phil Chacon field south. For those unfamiliar with Phil Chacon south field the best way to get their is to turn east on Kathryn off of Louisiana and then park in the south parking lot. The field is south of the parking lot. All practices will follow strict covid safe and social distancing guidelines, and individuals can opt out of any drill or exercise as they see fit. Please bring cleats, water and a mask, and please fill out the health check form on the website before every practice!
