NM Brujos 2021 Fall schedule released. 40th anniversary Wizardfest update. AGM this Saturday.
The New Mexico Brujos return to the pitch this Autumn starting on Labor Day weekend at the Santa Fe Fiesta 10s. The last time the this event was held in September of 2019 the Brujos finished second, so they will be looking to improve on that result from two years ago. The Brujos will next see action at their 40th anniversary celebration against their crosstown rivals the Albuquerque Aardvarks, (more on this below). In October the Brujos hit the road to play their future Rio Grande union rivals Flagstaff. The NM Brujos finish their fall season at the High Desert 15s rugby tournament. This should be a entertaining fall season after over a year without real rugby, don't miss it!

NM Brujos Golf Tournament and Kangaroo Court Friday September 17th.
Fore! As part of the New Mexico Brujos 40th Anniversary Celebration this September please join the Brujos on Friday September 17th for the Brujos Golf tournament at beautiful Los Altos Golf Course. The tournament is is best ball with shotgun starts beginning at 8:15. There will be prizes for longest drive, worst shot, closest to pin as well as gift bags and other assorted shenanigans. $125 per player or $500 per team.

Wizardfest, "Old Boys" match and Brujos vs Aardvarks
As part of the New Mexico Brujos 40th anniversary celebration this September please join the Brujos on September 18th for 3 very special events. The day kicks off at noon at Phil Chacon field with an Old Boys only match. The match will quarterly play and rolling subs. Following the old boys match watch the current NM Brujos take on the their inter-city rivals the Albuquerque Aardvarks in a Rio Grande Rugby Union match. Later that evening join the NM Brujos as they celebrate their 40th anniversary as a club for a very special Wizardfest at 6PM at Salt Yard, 6001 Osuna Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. This years very special Wizardfest will feature lifetime achievement awards and the inaugural New Mexico Brujos hall of fame class. Tickets for Wizardfest are $65
This year's Annual General Meeting is scheduled for this Saturday August 28th from 3 to 5 PM at Monte Vista Fire Station. This meeting is mandatory to discuss the future year of the club and vote on new club and board leadership members.
Fall Practice Begins!
With the Brujos fall season that includes Santa Fe 10s, the aforementioned 40th anniversary match against the Aardvarks and more, rapidly approaching, it's more important than ever to get out to practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7 at Phil Chacon field south. For those unfamiliar with Phil Chacon south field the best way to get their is to turn east on Kathryn off of Louisiana and then park in the south parking lot. The field is south of the parking lot. All practices will follow strict covid safe and social distancing guidelines, and individuals can opt out of any drill or exercise as they see fit. Please bring cleats, water and a mask, and please fill out the health check form on the website before every practice!
