Final Week of the Albuquerque Youth Rugby Skills Challenge, Last Chance to Show What You've Got!
For the last three weeks Albuquerque Youth Rugby has posted a video showcasing a skill for the week (different for each age group). Participants submitted videos performing the skills by the following Thursday to ABQrugby@gmail.com or by sharing on social media (Facebook or Instagram) and tagging AYRU. All skills are individual and only require a ball.
Even if you missed the first three weeks this is your chance to participate in this week's final skills challenge!
The theme of the final week of the AYRU Shutdown Skills Challenge is kicking. Since there is such a wide range of experience levels with kicking, we have combined ages 9+ for this week. Skip to your age group: 5-8: 3:10 9+: 4:14

Week 1's theme was catch/run/pass, the winners for week 1 are Sammie Hammon, Marcus the beast! and Kian! Their prize? Ice Cream from I Scream Ice Cream.
Week 2's theme was creating space and pre-contact decision-making. Congrats to week 2 winners Andie Hammon and Bodhi Garcia! They received $10 worth of Rude Boy Cookies. Yum!
Week 3 and 4 winners will be announced nest week!

Small prizes will be awarded weekly at random to someone in each age group, and a large prize drawing will take place on March 13. Full rules are in the registration form.
Everyone over age 5 welcome to participate, and it's free for anyone under 18. For anyone over 18, we ask that you consider a $10 donation to AYRU. Without the 2020 and 2021 season, AYRU has not had a consistent revenue source to work with.
