Last week the New Mexico Brujos Family suffered a massive loss as their former team President, longtime board member, tournament director, and brother, Brad Greene passed away from a hard fought battle with cancer. Brad was a giant on the team and in the local rugby community, and his loss leaves a hole not just in our hearts but in the many lives he touched in his far too short 48 years. There's nobody that didn't have a Brad story and that couldn't attest to his unbelievable generosity and playfully acerbic wit.
For the next month any donations made to the New Mexico Brujos will be made in his name and go 100% to a cancer charity of his family's choosing.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 13 at 2:00 PM at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park, 1100 Louisiana Blvd SE #5009, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
There aren't adequate words to express how much he meant to all of us, and the impact he had not only on the team but in all our lives. RIP Bradley, you'll always be our brother, teammate and friend.
Sun City 7s this Saturday
On a much lighter note, the NM Brujos are getting back to tournament rugby this weekend!
This Saturday the Brujos will head South to participate in the Sun City 7s tournament presented by our good friends the El Paso Scorpions.
With a 1K prize for first and a social to follow at Willie's Brew and Q, this is shaping up to be a Texas sized fun tournament. So make that short drive South, don't forget the sunscreen and let the boys in blue know you're there! Que viva!

Registration for the 2025 New Mexico Brujos 5 on 5 Sandia Sandstorm Tournament, scheduled for July 26th at the Duke City Beaches, is now open! And now you can get further involved by sponsoring the tournament (more on that below!)
This is gonna be a fabulous time at an amazing location, with men's and women's brackets, a dunk tank, DJs, and even Yoga sessions to keep everyone limber! And registration for a 12 person team is still only $300!

Summer 7s Practice and Community Touch Wednesdays!
The New Mexico Brujos kick off their Summer 7s season this Saturday, June 21st at the Sun City 7s in El Paso, so it's time to get in 7s shape!
Until further notice the NM Brujos will be holding 7s practice every Monday and Thursday at 6 PM.
