Brujos sting El Paso 57 to 38, face the Varks this weekend.
In a game that was a lot closer than the score indicates, the New Mexico Brujos held off the El Paso Scorpions last Saturday for a 57 to 38 victory. The Brujos got off to a fast start leading at halftime 31 to 7 behind a pair of trys and a penalty kick from Jeff Smolensky. Josh Aranda and Patrick Sarson also found the try zone in the first half. El Paso answered quickly in the second half, getting as close as 36 to 26. Thanks trys from Darius Chacon, another from Jeff Smolensky and a pair of explosive runs from Travis Smith, including one that culminated in a try as time expired, the Brujos held on for the W. The Brujos are far from done with the Scorpions however, facing them again in the last game of the season in El Paso on April 4th.

Next up for the NM Brujos is a crosstown rivalry match against the ABQ Aardvarks this Saturday, March 14th at 1 PM at USS Bullhead Park.
Spring Practice Has Begun!
The 2020 Spring season begins this Saturday, and that means it's practice time! Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM at UNM's Johnson Field throughout the spring season. Practice starts at 6 PM, that means cleats on and ready to go at 6 PM! Everyone is welcome, all levels of rugby experience!
No matter if this will be your first look at rugby or your 50th season, we want you coming out to practice with the New Mexico Brujos RFC, and, as always bring a friend along!
All you need is some athletic wear and soccer style cleats.

Sandia 7s Rugby Tournament Coming in May
The New Mexico Brujos are very excited to announce the first annual Sandia 7s Rugby Tournament. Premiering May 30th, 2020 in the shadow of the glorious Sandia Mountains, this men's and women's tournament hopes to capitalize on the 20 years of success that the old Celtic 7s tournament provided. This tournament will provide an excellent warm up opportunity for men's and women's teams going into the summer 7's tournament season. We look forward to announcing more details in the coming weeks and months. Save the date, we'll see you on the pitch in May!
