Brujos drop exhibition warm up opener to visiting Marauders, open 2019 spring union season against V
Knocking off some winter rust and playing without their head coach, the NM Brujos fell in the final minutes of the match to the visiting Northside Marauders last Saturday, 27 - 24. Playing on what could be their new home pitch for the spring 2019 season, and in front of a larger than expected crowd for an exhibition game, the Brujos and Marauders exchanged trys for 4 quarters, with the Marauders getting the upper hand as time expired. The Marauders proved to be gracious guests both on and off the pitch and hopefully can make this non-union friendly competition into a annual tradition. The Brujos wish them well in their upcoming 2019 Rocky Mountain Rugby Union season.
Speaking of the 2019 spring season, the Brujos open their 2019 spring Rio Grande Rugby Union season this Saturday against their crosstown rivals, the Albuquerque Aardvarks at 1 PM at Balloon Fiesta Field. These two teams always give each other their best shot, so this match is one you won't want to miss.
