Brujos romp over Scorps, finish Fall season in first place.
On an absolutely flawless fall day, the NM Brujos played almost 60 minutes of nearly flawless rugby of their own on their way to a 46 to 26 trouncing of the visiting El Paso Scorpions on UNM Johnson Field last Saturday. The score wasn't even as close as a 20 point victory might suggest, as the Brujos led the match at one point 46 to 5 around the 60 minute mark, before surrendering 3 unanswered trys to the Scorps to end the match. Despite the brief defense lapse at the end of the game, the Brujos finished the season on a very high note entering the upcoming Spring portion of the Rio Grande Rugby Union season in first place. Dasanté Browne found the try zone twice, with Leon Wilson putting two conversions through the uprights .
Box score for Brujos v. Scorpions:

Up next for the Brujos:
The Brujos next Rio Grande Rugby Union match won't be until next spring, but they are looking toward a potential return trip to the Arizona Rugby Festival, either as the Brujos, or in another bromance/super team with other NM Rugby teams.
The upcoming offseason also promises with to be quite busy with touch practices, a potential beer olympics, the annual ugly sweater crawl, and of course the upcoming 3th annual Rugby is a Drag show.
