20th Annual Rio Grande Celtic7s Rugby Tournament a success.

On a picture perfect New Mexico spring day, the 20th annual Rio Grande Celtic 7s Rugby tournament was once again a resounding success last Saturday. This years tournament boasted teams from 5 states in the region, with yet another strong showing by Arizona and Colorado teams. The highly anticipated rematch of last years men's final between the Denver 7 Selects and NMHU Vatos ended once again with the Denver selects taking the hardware back up north to the Centennial State. The AZ Bobcats Red took home the high school boys trophy while the Summit Rugby Girls captured the 2018 high school girls hardware. Our very own NM Brujos finished the day 1-2 with a victory over the Saint Pius X Alumni, and a narrow defeat by a very strong Vatos team. A special thank you to all the Brujos past and present who volunteered time and equipment, especially the set up and tear down crews, and our warmest gratitude to all the teams, refs, volunteers and spectators for once making this the Southwest's marquee 7's tournament. See you all again next year!
