The Dream Season Rolls on as Brujos Win both Playoff Games to Take Home the SWRU Championship; Team Heads to Vegas in Two Weeks for Super Regionals; Brujos Set Up GoFundMe to Help with Travel Costs.

Victories over Santa Fe and Camelback over the weekend send Brujos through to next round of playoffs.

The dream season continues. After years of near misses, playoff heartbreak and-let's be honest-just some bad seasons, the New Mexico Brujos are champions of the SWRU and looking for more.

On Saturday, the Brujos avenged their only loss of the season against in-state foe Santa Fe on Saturday, eking out a 24-23 victory over the Santos. The Brujos once again got off to one of their signature fast starts leading 17-8 at half. Santa Fe made it close as time drew near, but the Brujos held on for a narrow victory that sent them into Sunday's final.

On Sunday in the SWRU finals, the Brujos found themselves in the unfamiliar position of being behind early, down 13-14 at half, before scoring a try as time ran out to seal the 32-28 victory and their first SWRU championship.

The Brujos now move on to the Super Regional playoffs in two weeks in Fabulous Las Vegas. We'll have more on that next week hopefully including game times. Until then, enjoy Brujos, you earned it! Que Viva!

The New Mexico Brujos are champions of the SWRU and as such, have bigger trophies in their sights. However playoff travel doesn't come cheap and the Brujos are hoping to advance past Las Vegas, but one enormous travel bill at a time.

The New Mexico Brujos are playing in the sand again this Summer and all their friends are invited!

The second edition of this 5 on 5 sand tournament is scheduled for June 27 at the Duke City Beaches.

This is gonna be a fabulous time with many more details to come later.
