NM Brujos win against visiting Phoenix, head to Flagstaff this Saturday! Home game against Camelback and food drive next weekend! Spring practice continues!
The New Mexico Brujos were victorious before they even took the field last Saturday afternoon but that didn't stop them from a convincing show of vastly improved rugby and teamwork. The visiting Phoenix Storm only had 11 for their trip to ABQ, so the NM Brujos won by forfeit officially speaking. However in a game that featured three 20 minute periods instead of two 45 minute halves, and even some Brujos playing with the visiting Storm, the Brujos put on an exhibition of speed and efficiency racing up and down the field for multiple trys.
The NM Brujos will hope that this spirited exhibition serves them well this weekend as they travel to Arizona to take on another improved team in the Flagstaff Landsharks.
That game is scheduled for 2 PM at Sinagua Middle School Field, 3950 E Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004
The Brujos then return home next Saturday to host Camelback Rugby. And like last week, the Brujos will be organizing a food drive. Thank you to everyone that brought food last week to donate to the Lobo Food Pantry. No word yet on who will be the beneficiary of next week's food drive so stay tuned!
The Brujos will then finish their 2024 campaign against El Paso in Socorro on April 6th! It doesn't get more Southwest rugby than that!

Spring practice continues!
The NM Brujos Spring SW Rugby Union season is fully underway as the Brujos travel to Arizona for the second time this season, this time to face Flagstaff this weekend, so it's important to get out to practice and stay sharp!
NM Brujos Spring rugby practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM at UNM Johnson Field, located at 2401 Redondo Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
New Players and all skill levels are always welcome! Cleats, mouthguard, and water very much recommended.
