Although last Saturday's scheduled match against the El Paso Jackalopes had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, it didn't stop the New Mexico Brujos from doing their thing, namely playing rugby on Saturday and helping their community. Even though their planned opponent couldn't make it the NM Brujos still made a day of it with an impromptu "pop up" round robin tournament that turned into a Blue vs White 10s scrimmage. Most importantly the planned school supply drive to benefit the APS McKinney-Vento program, which offers services and support to APS students experiencing homelessness, was a huge success. Thanks to everyone that showed up and donated. Last Saturday was a perfect example of what makes Brujos culture so unique, when life gives us lemons, we play rugby! Que viva!

2024 Wizardfest and AGM only two weeks away!

It's almost time to put on your dancing cleats, it's time to celebrate! Next Saturday, August 17th join the New Mexico Brujos for the 2024 Wizardfest (AKA Rugby Prom), and celebrate the past year in Brujos rugby and honor the stand out players and dubious events that made the 2024 season one to remember. This year's ceremony will feature NM Brujos hall of fame inductions, player awards and more!
Once again this year's event is being held at our great sponsor Sobremesa Restaurant and Brewery located at 3421 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120
And thanks to generous donations from NM Brujos Old Boys there's a $2000 open bar!
Festivities begin at 5 PM, with dinner at 5:30 and Awards scheduled for 6 PM.
Prior to Wizardfest is this year's Annual General Meeting, also scheduled for Saturday August 17th from 9 AM to Noon at the office of the current Brujos president Jeremy Thomas, located at 7806 Menual Blvd NE 87110. This meeting is mandatory to discuss the future of the club and vote on new club and board leadership members. A potential Albuquerque rugby merger, the annual golf tournament, and schedules for this fall and next Spring are just a few of the items on this year's agenda.

UNM Alumni game scheduled for late August!
Calling all old UNM ruggers. The alumni game is back, scheduled for August 31, 2024 at 11am at UNM Johnson Field. The Lobos will be repping their current team jerseys. All alumni we ask you bring your club jersey, or an old UNM one to play in. There will be game shirts sold as well as a jersey auction. Social is to be held after the match at Saggios.

Fall practice continues!
The Fall rugby season is right around the corner and that means it's time to get back to practicing twice a week!
The 2024 Fall season promises to be a full one with 10s and 15s tournaments and matches throughout the autumn season, which means it's more important than ever to get to practice!
NM Brujos practice is every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6 PM!
