Brujos Squeak Past Santos 32 - 28, Face Varks this Sat, Brujos Spring Schedule and More

Whew! In a season opener that could have just as easily been a season ender, the New Mexico Brujos got a last minute try from Rugby is a Drag 2026 director-turned rugby savior-Noah Silva to seal the 32 to 28 win last Saturday in Socorro.

In a back and forth match that saw Brujos lead 22 to 7 at one point only to see the Santos come storming back to take the lead 28 to 22 late in the second half. The Brujos narrowed the lead to 28 - 27, and with mere seconds left, Silva punched one in for the win.

Next up for the Brujos a Valentine's Day love fest with their best of frenemies the ABQ Aardvarks at Bullhead at the crack of Noon. On the year's most romantic day, what could be better than a Brujos vs Varks tilt? Brujos Spring Schedule

After this weekends match with the Varks the Brujos are back on the road next Saturday, Feb 21 against El Paso. Before a well deserved week off.

March begins with a home match on the 7th against visiting Scottsdale. The Brujos then hit the road, traveling to Tucson on the 14th.

The season concludes with two home matches against Santa Fe on March 28th and El Paso on April 4th. Locations and times for many many of these matches are still to be determined so bookmark the Brujos match page on our website for up to the minute information.
