NM Brujos wrap up Fall season at Loudfest tourney in AZ this Sat. AYRU Dec touch/clothing drive!

Thanksgiving is in the rearview mirror (and on the waistline), the holidays loom, and The New Mexico Brujos will look to put the finishing touches on a busy Fall 2022 rugby season with a trip to AZ this weekend. This Saturday, December 3rd, the NM Brujos will travel to Scottsdale AZ for the Loudfest Rugby Tournament. As of now the Brujos are tentatively scheduled to kick off the tournament against Tempe at 10 AM, and then against the Tuscon Magpies at 1, and to finish against Montana at 3 PM. This promises to be a fun tournament against opponents that the Brujos don't normally play.

AYRU Touch Tournament and Clothing Drive December 17th!

The 2022 Turkey Touch Tournament was such a big success last Saturday that AYRU is doing it again, this time for a good cause! On Saturday, December 17th Albuquerque Youth rugby will again be hosting a touch tournament at North Domingo Baca Park, this time to benefit Locker #505. Locker #505, a local student clothing bank, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that has established a student-focused facility where children can try on and choose outfits that they feel good about wearing. Having appropriate school clothing allows children to concentrate on their school work, not their clothing. It also helps keep children, who might not go to class because of their clothes, stay in school. Instead of a registration fee please bring new socks and/or underwear or gently used clothing. Come play touch to work off the holiday stress and help those in need!

NM Brujos Rugby Practice changes!

It's getting darker earlier and with the time change right around the corner (fall back people!) it's time to take NM Brujos rugby practice under the lights! Until further notice rugby practice will be Thursday only and is moved to UNM's Johnson Field located at 2401 Redondo Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 East of Johnson Gym.

NM Brujos practice is every Thursday at 6 PM

New Players are always welcome! Cleats, mouthguard, and water very much recommended.
