The battle for Albuquerque Rugby rematch ended much like the first chapter earlier this month, with a decisive New Mexico Brujos victory. In fact the dominant NM Brujos didn't surrender a try to the host Albuquerque Aardvarks, leading 47 - 0 at half and cruising to a 94 - 0 victory. The win put the Brujos at 3 - 0 in the Spring. and 3 - 2 on the season.
The Brujos will look to keep the positive Spring forward momentum going as they wrap up their Spring 2025 SWRU season this Saturday when they take on the host Santa Fe Santos in Rio Rancho as the finale of NM Rugby Day (more on that below), at 3:30 PM. This should be an exciting rugby match featuring two of the best rugby teams in the state. Don't miss it. Finish strong Brujos, Que viva!

Rio Rancho to host NM Rugby Day, featuring youth games and the Atomic Sisters' season finale!
As mentioned above, the NM Brujos and Santos match will cap a full day of New Mexico Rugby in Rio Rancho this Saturday that kicks off in the morning with youth rugby games.
At 2 PM our friends the Atomic Sisters host their Spring season finale against visiting Phoenix, followed by the NM Brujos and Santos immediately after wrapping up the day's rugby festivities.
In addition the City of Rio Rancho Rugby Club is hosting a food drive, so bring canned good and non-perishable items and help out while you support local rugby!
Also there will be a Hawaiian food pop up sale! This is gonna be one ruck of a way to say goodbye to the Spring season, don't miss it!
NM Brujos 3 days a week Spring practice continues!
Spring practice is now thrice as nice! The New Mexico Brujos are moving their Spring practice to three days a week at their brand new location, the Mesa Del Sol Sports Complex located at 5601 University Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
In addition to practicing Mondays and Fridays, the NM Brujos are adding Wednesdays too! The practice time is changing as well, slightly. Mondays and Wednesdays practice now begins at 7 PM, while on Fridays practice still begins at 6 PM.
This state-of-the-art facility features professional stadium lighting, artificial turf fields, and—best of all—we’ll be practicing on our very own regulation-size pitch.
As always new players and all skill levels are always welcome!
Cleats, mouthguard, and water are very much recommended.
