NM Brujos pitch in at Wolf Sanctuary, head to Santa Fe 10s this Sun! Ref training course this Sat!
Last Saturday, August 27th, members of the New Mexico Brujos and their families pitched in to help clean up the habitat at the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. The Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is a wolf and wolfdog sanctuary and visitor center, with a focus on conservation. For more information on the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary check out their website. They have staff for the day to day operations of the park, but it's tough for them to make headway on larger projects without some extra hands, and that's where the NM Brujos come in! The Brujos built and repaired a few fences, did some habitat restoration, and cleanup. Last year members of the wolf sanctuary staff ended up attending the drag show, so there's some mutual support here. Volunteerism and giving back to the community is a cornerstone of New Mexico Brujos Rugby Community, now and always!

Fall Rugby is back baby!
Summer is winding down, Labor day weekend is upon us, and that can only mean one thing, Fall rugby season is here at last. First up for the New Mexico Brujos is the this weekend's Santa Fe Fiesta 10s tournament. This Sunday, September 4th make the short drive to scenic Santa Fe, and support your NM Brujos as they compete with other local and regional teams in this annual 10s tournament, as well as food, prizes and a social afterward at the Santa Fe brewing company. Kick off is at 9 AM. Que viva!

Level 1 Referee Course September 3rd!
This Saturday, September 3rd, the day before Santa Fe 10s, the Rio Grande chapter of the Southwest Rugby Referee Society and our friends at Albuquerque Youth Rugby United will be hosting the Fall 2022 Referee Training Course. The course will take place from 9 AM to around 3 at Jerry Cline Park at 7001 Constitution Ave NE, Albuquerque NM 87110. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes. There will be exercises and drills for hands on learning. Participants must sign up before the course starts.

Refs are a hugely important part of our game so if you've ever wanted to try it out, or maybe want to shift from player to official, this is your chance!
Participants will get a chance for hands-on learning by shadowing the refs the next day, September 4th, at the Santa Fe 10s tournament.
New Mexico Brujos Golf Tournament Returns next month!
Fore! Coming off the success of our 40th anniversary golf tournament last year, the New Mexico Brujos are hitting the links again! Please join the Brujos on Friday September 23rd for the 2022 Brujos Golf tournament at the beautiful Los Altos Golf Course. 2022 Fall Schedule Announced!
The 2022 Fall season starts this Saturday! Coming off a fun and successful summer 7s season the New Mexico Brujos now turn their attention to a Fall season loaded with 10s and 15 tournaments and matches. The Brujos kickoff their Fall with a trip up north for the annual Santa Fe 10s tournament. The Brujos are next in action on October 8th traveling to Arizona for the Flagstaff 15s. The Brujos will be a part of the Santa Fe Santos 50th Anniversary celebration on October 22nd. The NM Brujos will be participating in the annual High Desert Tournament on October 29th. The NM Brujos will wrap up their Fall season on December 3rd with a trip to the Scottsdale 15s on December 3rd. There's a possibility that more matches and events will be scheduled this Fall including participating in the 2022 Turkey Touch this November.
Fall practice has begun!
The Fall rugby season begins in two weeks at Santa Fe 10s, which means it's time for Fall practice! This Fall season promises to be a busy one with a plethora of 10s and 15s tournaments and matches throughout the autumn season, which means it's more important than ever to get to practice!
