The holidays are finally over, the new year is in fill swing, and the 2026 rugby season is here! This Friday and Saturday the New Mexico Brujos kick off their 2026 rugby campaign with two exhibition matches against the visiting Highwaymen Rugby. First up it's the first annual Trevor Cup, a special match between the Brujos and the Highwaymen under the lights at Mesa del Sol honoring late Brujo Trevor Hileman. This one of a kind match kicks off this Friday, January 16th, at 6 PM.

Then, on Saturday, it's an all NM motley team vs the Highwaymen. If you play anywhere in the state, heck come in from TX, AZ or CO if you want, and help defend the NM home turf from the visiting Visigoths that are the Highwaymen! This fun exhibition kicks off at 1 PM and Phil Chacon field south.

The Brujos are thrilled about this fun weekend to open their season, come join them in kicking off 2026 right. Que Viva!

Dust off those platform cleats and start bedazzling those rugby shorts, Rugby is a Drag is returning to the main stage! That's right everyone's favorite fabulous festivity is scheduled for Saturday, January 31st, 2026. And once again it will benefit our good friends at Casa Q.

Casa Q provides safe living for LGBTQ+ youth through housing, services and advocacy.
