Level 1 coaching clinic this Saturday! Foothills Fat Run next Sunday! Spring practice continues! Brujos Spring season kicks off in 3 weeks!
This Saturday Albuquerque Youth Rugby United and New Mexico Youth Rugby are organizing a coaching clinic through USA Rugby to train anyone that is interested to become a certified Level 1 Rugby coach.
Moreover, if you are CIPP'd, the NM Brujos will pay for your course!
The event will take place Saturday, February 3rd at 8 AM at the Paradise Hills Community Center located at 5901 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
WHAT TO BRING:- Active wear, pen and paper- Own water bottle, hand sanitizer- Lunch
REQUIRED ONLINE COURSES:
The course requires you complete a number of online modules provided by World Rugby, ideally before attending the course. You can access these from the USA Rugby Learning Center. The Learning Center is where you registered for this course.

1. Click on "My Courses" from the USA Rugby Learning Center landing page (or select "My Courses and Learning Plans" from the User Menu in the top left). Click on the item indicating your "Required Online Courses".
2. This will show a list of all required online courses. Click on each one to view instructions on how to complete.
3. You will only be qualified following your attendance at the course AND following the completion of these modules. Once this is completed, you will see a Certification appear in the Learning Center (select "My Certifications" from the landing page or the User Menu in the top left). This certification will be automatically sent to USA Rugby's Membership system.
4. USA Rugby's Membership system also requires that you are compliant with the US Center for SafeSport's requirements.

Superbowl foothills fat run returns next Sunday!
There's more than one way to get in shape for the upcoming 2024 Spring season! Dust off your trail running shoes and say goodbye to bulk season, it's time to cut weight and get shredded! The annual New Mexico Brujos Superbowl Fat Boy Run is returning next Weekend! Just in time for the start of the Spring rugby season, this run started years ago as a fun way to knock the winter fat off in anticipation of the season. We’ve since turned it into a fundraiser for suicide awareness. Please join us for the “hash” style run.
It’s a race and there are drinking challenges set up in secret locations along the course.
Please bring a cash donation, $5 minimum.
Event starts at 10 AM on Superbowl Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at the Embudo trailhead at the top of Indian School rd.
Spring Practice has started!
NM Brujos twice a week Spring practice is underway! The Spring SW Rugby Union season is now one month away (more on those changes above so it's important to get out to practice and stay sharp!
NM Brujos Spring rugby practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM at UNM Johnson Field, located at 2401 Redondo Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
New Players and all skill levels are always welcome! Cleats, mouthguard, and water very much recommended.

Spring season opener in 3 weeks!
Due to changes within the Southwest Rugby Union structure the New Mexico Brujos last weekend's scheduled season opener at Tucson was cancelled. The Brujos now kick off the 2024 season in the Grand Canyon State on February 17th for a match with the Prescott Blacksheep. The Brujos return home for their first home match of the season against Phoenix on March 2nd. It's back on I-40 on March 16th to visit the Flagstaff Landsharks, before returning home to finish out the season against Camelback on March 23rd. The date of the 30th is also open for a possible date with another member of the union.
