2023 Celtic 7s Rugby Tourney date announced! AYRU Xmas touch & clothing drive this Saturday Dec 17!
The calendar may say December, but the New Mexico Brujos already have Spring rugby on the brain! 2023 is a mere two weeks away but that hasn't stopped the NM Brujos and their partners the Rio Grande Celtic Festival from announcing the date of the 2032 Rio Grande Celtic 7s Rugby Tournament on Saturday, may 6th, 2023 at scenic Balloon Fiesta Park! Just a reminder that all registration include free entry to the 2023 Rio Grande Celtic Festival, featuring Highland games, food (cross your fingers for the return of meatpies dammit!) , and a beer garden or two. This is always the premier 7s tournament in the Southwest so save the date, and stay tuned to the Celtic 7s event page for up to the minute info including registration information.

AYRU Christmas Touch Tournament and Clothing Drive December 17th!
The 2022 Turkey Touch Tournament was such a big success last Saturday that AYRU is doing it again, this time for a good cause! This Saturday December 17th Albuquerque Youth rugby will again be hosting a touch tournament at North Domingo Baca Park, this time to benefit Locker #505. Locker #505, a local student clothing bank, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that has established a student-focused facility where children can try on and choose outfits that they feel good about wearing. Having appropriate school clothing allows children to concentrate on their school work, not their clothing. It also helps keep children, who might not go to class because of their clothes, stay in school. Instead of a registration fee please bring new socks and/or underwear or gently used clothing. This Saturday, come join members of the New Mexico Brujos, the Atomic Sisters and other local rugby players, play touch to work off the holiday stress and help those in need!

Winter Practice Continues!
Even though the spring rugby season doesn't start for another two months the NM Brujos are still having Winter rugby practice under the lights! Until further notice rugby practice will be Thursday only and is moved to UNM's Johnson Field located at 2401 Redondo Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 East of Johnson Gym.
NM Brujos practice is every Thursday at 6 PM
New Players are always welcome! Cleats, mouthguard, and water very much recommended.
