Brujos fall to Varks, set sights on Rio Grande Celtic 7's Tourney.

The NM Brujos wrapped up their shortened Spring 2018 season Saturday with a 67 - 15 loss at the hands of a speedier Albuquerque Aardvarks team. The lopsided score largely due to a Varks scoring surge at the end of the first half against a shorthanded Brujos team. An early penalty kick by Andrew Esquibel and a second half try by Milagro Padilla were among the Brujos highlights, and a penalty try as time ran out would cap the Brujos scoring for the day. The Brujos will look to end a tough Spring season with a silver lining when they suit up at the 20th Annual Rio Grande Celtic 7's Rugby Tournament on May 19th at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park.
