NM Brujos host El Paso Scorpions this weekend in Rio Grande Rugby Union spring season opener.
For New Mexico Brujos fans, Rio Grande Union rugby returns this Saturday as the Brujos host the visiting El Paso Scorpions. Coming off an inspiring tune up win in a friendly match against Adam's State two weeks ago, the Brujos hope to hit the pitch in mid-season form against last season's union champs. The Brujos dropped their first game of the union rugby season back in November, so a win this weekend is crucial if they hope to replicate last season's successful 2nd place finish. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 PM at Phil Chacon field off Kathryn and Louisiana. The weather forecast looks beautiful, spring is in the air and Saturday is a rugby day!
Spring Practice Has Begun!
The 2020 Spring season begins this Saturday, and that means it's practice time! Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM at UNM's Johnson Field throughout the spring season. Practice starts at 6 PM, that means cleats on and ready to go at 6 PM! Everyone is welcome, all levels of rugby experience!
No matter if this will be your first look at rugby or your 50th season, we want you coming out to practice with the New Mexico Brujos RFC, and, as always bring a friend along!
All you need is some athletic wear and soccer style cleats.

Sandia 7s Rugby Tournament Coming in May
The New Mexico Brujos are very excited to announce the first annual Sandia 7s Rugby Tournament. Premiering May 30th, 2020 in the shadow of the glorious Sandia Mountains, this men's and women's tournament hopes to capitalize on the 20 years of success that the old Celtic 7s tournament provided. This tournament will provide an excellent warm up opportunity for men's and women's teams going into the summer 7's tournament season. We look forward to announcing more details in the coming weeks and months. Save the date, we'll see you on the pitch in May!
