Brujos win friendly spring opener against Grizzlies, look to Rio Grande Rugby Union season opener ne
The New Mexico Brujos kicked off their 2020 spring campaign on a positive note last Saturday, eking out a close wing over the hosting Adam's State Grizzlies. Playing in their last tune up before the start of the Rio Grande Rugby Union season on March 7th, the Brujos edged the Grizzlies by one try in a hard fought match, with one Brujo noting that the Grizzlies "hit harder than most men's teams." The Brujos would like to express their gratitude to Adam's State for the match, and wish the Grizzlies luck in their upcoming season. Furthermore the New Mexico Brujos would like to express their gratitude to one of their newest sponsors this season, Rich Ford, for providing transportation to this match and all their upcoming 2020 road games. Spring Practice Has Begun!
The 2020 Spring season begins next week, and that means it's practice time! Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM at UNM's Johnson Field throughout the spring season. Practice starts at 6 PM, that means cleats on and ready to go at 6 PM! Everyone is welcome, all levels of rugby experience!
No matter if this will be your first look at rugby or your 50th season, we want you coming out to practice with the New Mexico Brujos RFC, and, as always bring a friend along!
All you need is some athletic wear and soccer style cleats.

The Brujos 2020 Rio Grande Rugby Union season is less than a week away! The Brujos kick off their 2020 Rio Grande Rugby Union schedule with a home match on March 7th against the visiting El Paso Scorpions. Then they play an "away" match against crosstown rivals the Albuquerque Aardvarks on March 14th. Their next two matches are home matches against the Santos and Varks respectively, before finishing out the season with a trip down to El Paso to take on the Scorps.

Sandia 7s Rugby Tournament Coming in May
The New Mexico Brujos are very excited to announce the first annual Sandia 7s Rugby Tournament. Premiering May 30th, 2020 in the shadow of the glorious Sandia Mountains, this men's and women's tournament hopes to capitalize on the 20 years of success that the old Celtic 7s tournament provided. This tournament will provide an excellent warm up opportunity for men's and women's teams going into the summer 7's tournament season. We look forward to announcing more details in the coming weeks and months. Save the date, we'll see you on the pitch in May!
