Brujos finish second in Rio Grande division, face Phoenix in playoffs this weekend. Winefest 7's

Last week this intrepid Rugby reporter erroneously reported that the Brujos had finished first in the Rio Grande Men’s Division III standings.

Instead the Brujos finished second, while the El Paso Scorpions actually finished in first. Even in my fourth year covering Brujos Rugby, I'll be the first to admit that intricacy of USA Rugby's rules and bylaws still often escape me. Mea Culpa. Their second place finish means the Brujos will travel to Phoenix, AZ this Saturday to take the hometown Phoenix Rugby team, the first place finishers in the AZ Division, in the first round of the Pacific South Men's Division III playoffs. Congratulations to the Brujos on their amazing season and good luck to all the Arizona bound New Mexico teams.

Winefest 7's Registration now open!

All good things must pass, and so it was for the Celtic 7's Rugby Tournament. However the end of Celtic 7's takes place in the shadow of new life as the Brujos announce the Wine Fest 7's. Co-inciting with the Albuquerque Wine Festival on Memorial Day Weekend, registration for this exciting new rugby tournament, along with the accompanying Rio Grande 7's Youth Tournament to be played the same weekend, is now open. Men's Women's and Youth Teams can register here: https://www.brujosrugby.com/product-page/wine-fest-seven-registration
