#PrideInRugby Fiesta this Saturday, and NM Brujos make local news.

This Saturday, October 4th at Phil Chacon Park in Southeast Albuquerque the NM Brujos welcome the Phoenix Storm, Colorado Rush, and the Dallas Diablos to town to for the very first Southwest #PrideInRugby Fiesta. This weekend, in the shadow of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta four IGR Teams will converge in the Land of Enchantment, for a friendly rugby fest called the Southwest #PRIDEINRUGBY Fiesta in celebration of the upcoming 20th year of IGR! The first match starts @ 10 with the being chosen on Brujos facebook page live @ 5:45 before tomorrows practice. In addition a limited, one of kind shirt for the even (pictured above) will be available for $20 on the day of the event. This promises to be an awesome afternoon of rugby and fun you won't want to miss.

On Tuesday, October 1st 2019, your New Mexico Brujos made the local news. Relax, it was for something good! Last night on the 10 PM news KOB 4 anchor Tessa Mentus did a story on the Brujos, their involvement co-hosting the upcoming #PrideInRugby Fiesta (they called it a tournament, which it technically isn't, but not everyone can be as accurate as your favorite intrepid rugby blogger), as well as their continued effort and support for the LGBTQ community. This was amazing exposure for the club and their message, and on behalf of the entire team the Brujos would like to express their gratitude to Tessa and KOB 4.

Fall Practice Continues

Just a reminder that practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at UNM's Johnson Field. Practice starts at 6 PM, that means cleats on and ready to go at 6 PM! Everyone is welcome, all levels of rugby experience! No matter if this will be your first look at rugby or your 50th season, we want you going out to practice with the NM Brujos RFC. Bring a friend along! All you need is some athletic wear and soccer style cleats. And water of course, don't forget water!
