Brujos to co-host Southwest #PrideInRugby Fiesta next weekend, Important Brujos Facebook Group Infor

The New Mexico Brujos are excited to announce that they are partnering with Phoenix Storm, Colorado Rush, and the Dallas Diablos for the very first Southwest #PrideInRugby Fiesta. Next weekend, in the shadow of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta four IGR Teams will converge in the Land of Enchantment, for a friendly tournament called the Southwest #PRIDEINRUGBY Fiesta in celebration of the upcoming 20th year of IGR! On Saturday, October 5th the New Mexico Brujos RFC, Phoenix Storm RFC, Dallas Diablos RFC, and Colorado Rush RFC will ruck it out to find who is the best of the Southwest! The tournament is scheduled to be played at Phil Chacon fields, stay tuned to your favorite rugby

Brujos play friendly against UNM, announce Southwest #PrideInRugby Fiesta in early October.

Last Saturday, under the lights and occasional rain shower, the New Mexico Brujos and UNM squared off in a friendly tune up match for their respective upcoming seasons. The match was the third of a triple header that also included UNM taking on the U of A Wildcats to start the day and later the Vatos playing the U of A Wildcats. Because this was a "friendly" there was no score, but both teams played well and were thankful for the rare opportunity to square off on the pitch. The Brujos wish UNM all the luck in the world in the upcoming Mountain West rugby season. Next up for the Brujos is another friendly in El Paso against the Scorpions on September 21st. Brujos take 2nd @ Fiesta 10s, face UNM this weekend.

Last Sunday the NM Brujos kicked off their 2019 Fall campaign on a relative high note, finishing second in the 2019 Fiesta 10s tournament. The Brujos started off a long day of rugby by playing to all even the Santa Fe Santos. After the tie the Brujos would sprint into the finals by winning two decisive games against the Bad News Bears and the El Paso Scorpions. The tournament trophy however, was not be theirs on Sunday, as they fell 19 - 7 in the title match to their crosstown rivals the Albuquerque Aardvarks. On the bright side, a second place finish this early in the season bodes well for the Brujos, as they have at least two more tournaments to look forward to this fall. The Brujos Fall 2
