Coming off a very successful 2018/2019 season that included a second place finish their division and a playoff birth, the New Mexico Brujos tentative schedule for Fall 2019 has been announced. Currently the Brujos are scheduled to open their 2019 campaign At the Santa Fe 10's tournament on labor day weekend. A friendly against UNM the following weekend and a pair of tournament appearances in October make up the remainder of the non-league fall schedule. The Brujos play their only rugby union match of the fall on November 2nd against the visiting Santa Fe Santos. For the second time this year, on Saturday June 22nd the NM Brujos played an exhibition match during halftime of the Duke City Gladiators game. These exhibitions were highly valuable in terms of rugby awareness and team exposure, and a partnership the Brujos hope to continue going forward. Speaking of the Gladiators, The Duke City Gladiators will host the Salina Liberty in the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) Championship on July 13 at 6 p.m. at Tingley Coliseum. They advanced to the finals Saturday night after defeating the Amarillo Venom 70-62. The Gladiators are the defending CIF champions.
